Artist Books

At House of Cards Studio & Gallery, artist books are more than containers for words or images. They are artworks in their own right.

Our selection of contemporary artist books includes handmade, limited-edition, and experimental works by New Mexico artists. These books bring together visual art, writing, photography, printmaking, collage, drawing, poetry, and design in forms that invite an active, personal encounter.

A book may tell a story, document a place, preserve a memory, pose a question, or create a world one page at a time.

House of Cards supports artists who use the book form as a site for imagination, inquiry, and connection. We present art books and small editions that move between the intimate and the expansive—works rooted in personal experience, regional landscapes, cultural memory, language, and visual experimentation.

Whether you are a collector, reader, artist, educator, or simply curious about book arts, we invite you to explore the collection and experience how artists transform the page into a place of discovery.
